enerbility ~ New Partner on Board

Markus Hummel joined enerbility as partner and director. He is responsible for sales and business development. He graduated from Vienna University of Economics with a business degree and a PhD thesis on European power liberalisation. He accepted positions at VERBUND - International Relations - and Bank Austria - Assistant to the Board.

In 1999 he decided to start up his own consulting business in the UK, one of the pioneer countries of energy liberalisation. To establish a profile beforehand, he completed his MBA (University of Oxford) in 2000 and set up Oxford Consult Ltd. to pursue projects in the UK. The innovation-concept enabled Oxford Consult to bid successfully for and to complete various projects with several of the 30 Dow Jones Industrial Average companies and several companies that comprise the Euro Stoxx 50 index. Among others, project partners include BG, BP, Gaz de France, Shell, Sonatrach, Vattenfall on the energy side, but also AXA, Deutsche Telekom, Pirelli, Sony and Zurich on the finance side.
